Remains of Battle

The time has come for the two kings to meet

Battle waged across land for victory and defeat

The sky is scorned; mud with the sea retreats

Iron armour worn; blood stains the streets

Flags burn evaporating symbols

Empire is born as soldiers fall

Wizards cast spells and bishops give orders

Priests ring bells and the air grows colder

Stars map the heavens with an endless maze

Lifeless bodies now lay where cattle once grazed

Light of a new day displays a battle’s remains

In eternity echoes what the rain has washed away
